TASTE AND SEE
PSALM 34:8-9, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.”
People often find themselves asking questions like “Am I sure I have faith? Or do I have enough faith.” But such questions are completely useless. Whether your faith is big or small is not the issue, the issue is if God has promised something will He lie or change? Our looking unto the promise of God is a good reason for looking to God for mercy; then there is no time to stop looking until God withdraws His Word. To learn how to hear from God when we pray is a much greater blessing than the answer itself.
Your capacity to believe and receive of God can either increase or decrease depending on the rate at which you feed your soul with God’s Word. It is the Word bringing forth its own kind in the believer’s life. It’s own kind of kindness, love, patience, humility, gentleness, self control and goodness. Those who serve the Lord in truth and faith will enjoy the good things the land produces. David simply realized that God was faithful and faith – the spiritual armour through which we overcome sin and the world – spontaneously came. Therefore, try God as David did and you will find Him reliable, well-grounded, well-founded, faithful, incontestable, unstoppable, honest and stable.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, I trust Your Word; I have no alternative. I know I will find you reliable, dependable, incontestable, unstoppable and trustworthy in my present situation in Jesus’ mighty name.
