Changing lives in Jesus

Nov 7, 2022

Numbers 14:28, “Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you”
You are expected to speak God’s language as commonly as unbelievers speak their doubt, fear, failure, defeat, pain and poverty. The word of confession of your lips should have your heart’s full agreement. In Acts 19:11-16, the sons of Sceva went about delivering people of the demons that possessed them after the manner of Paul but speaking today’s language instead of the language God uses. By their magic arts, they seemed to be doing well at first but not as those who really put their trust in Christ and a confidence in His name.
One day, the evil spirit said: ‘Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you? What power have you to command us? What have you to declare the power of Jesus, seeing that you disobey His instructions?’ For the first time, it dawned on these fake servants of Jesus that they were on a very dangerous mission. They were only lucky to have narrowly escaped with their lives. This is why we must speak God’s language as Christians because what makes us Christians is corresponding power. If there is no corresponding power in your life, you are just religious. Which language do you speak? Speak God’s language and you will stand the test of time.
PRAYER: Oh Lord Jesus, inspire and make me speak Your language.
